From the My Photo My Day Team – May 15th, 2021
Stepping into another year of the pandemic, the My Photo My Day Team would like to share an update about the project’s direction and the future of this page.
On March 16, we officially launched the My Photo My Day exhibition on virtual platforms. The exhibition would not have been possible without the contribution of GTA residents and photographers who generously shared snippets of their lives in the past year.
With vaccines rolling-out and GTA residents slowly finding consistency in this new normal, the team decided that it is time to wrap up our weekly prompts in favour of monthly initiatives that will provide a more relaxing and candid space for submissions. Submissions for previous photo prompts that can be found on our Instagram page will still be accepted and reposted as we receive them. Local community organizations and non-profit agencies are also welcome to get in touch with us about cross-posting announcements for events and opportunities in the GTA.
Thank you to everyone who has been with us from the beginning! As the course of the pandemic shifts, we hope that our page remains a positive and uplifting online space and will continue to provide an outlet for your photos, comments, and reflections.
Stay safe and healthy.
From the My Photo My Day Team
On March 16, we launched the MPMD art gallery exhibiting moments of the past year in the lives of GTA residents. A big thank you to the photographers who allowed us to include their photos in the exhibit and to everyone who participated in the project throughout the year.
Our team would like to thank all who participated in this initiative and kindly shared with us snippets of your daily lives during these tumultuous times.
The virtual exhibition is still available for viewing at this time! We will also continue to update our pixieset photo album in the meanwhile.
